MeMadeMay Recap: Week 2
It's another week of #memademay! For week 2 I didn't really follow my goal much and wore clothes that made me happy. I'm okay with that objective too. You'll notice everything is colorful!
May 8th
Pattern: Made for Mermaids Deanna off the shoulder (2019)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics DBP
Verdict: Keep. I love the color and shape!
May 9th
Pattern: Helen's Closet York Pinafore (2019)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics Abstract linen
Verdict: Keep. I love how fun and different this pinafore is in my closet.
Pattern: Pattern for Pirates Layer Me Up Tee (2016)
Fabric: unknown source rayon spandex
Verdict: Purge. It was one of my first makes and is too sheer and poorly constructed.
May 10th- Muffins with Mom
Pattern: Chalk & Notch Fringe Dress (2018)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics Ny bubble crepe
Verdict: Keep. This dress is easy to wear while making me feel dressed up and special.
Kiddo Patterns: Pattern for Pirates Capt Macks Cardigan (2017) in sweater knit from Joann, Max and Meena Max Joggers in Hobby Lobby French Terry
Verdict: Time to pass these on to brother as they are looking small!
May 11th
Pattern: Halla Agnes in top length (2017)
Fabric: Navy and ivory striped bamboo from So Sew English
Verdict: Keep. Plus make more.
May 12th- Mothers Day
Pattern: George & Ginger Rival Dress (2019)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics Rae scuba with purple bamboo
Verdict: Keep. It's a recent make which I love!
Pattern: Made for Mermaids Darcey in tunic length (2019)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics blush striped waffle knit
Verdict: Keep. I wear this weekly normally!
May 13th- Donuts with Mom
Pattern: Sinclair Patterns Cachet (2019)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics Rainbow rib knit with ivory distressed accent on back
Verdict: Keep. I'll add length in the front to my next one.
Kiddo Pattern: Stitch Upon a Time Neverland Tee (2019)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics Rainbow rib knit
Verdict: Keep. He loves it!
May 14th
Pattern: Made for Mermaids Women's Mya with hacked flounce sleeve (2018)
Fabric: Mily Mae Fabrics Burgundy stripe DBP
Verdict: Keep but cut off the flounce sleeves and hem the sleeves instead.
This is the half way point of #memademay19! Thank you for following along! What you haven't seen is that I've been purging clothes as I pick my outfits too. I'm hoping to have a large donation at the end of May and room for more makes the rest of the year!
