Looking for a quick sew? This is it! This may be the FASTEST sew ever. Seriously, I made this dress in just over 20 minutes from cutting the fabric to finishing the hem.

What makes this such a quick sew? It's the fact that it's just two pieces. My version of this dress features a small dolman short sleeve and hemmed neckline. The style is a mid-swing style so it flares out at the hem. I find this very flattering on my shape.

I could have made the sew time a bit longer by including the optional inseam pockets or using the two-piece waist cutline for color blocking. I chose the easiest option just to have a simple quick sew.

Rather than a neckband, the Clementine is finished with a hemmed neckline. I used my Juki coverstitch for this as well as the sleeve and bottom hems. The pattern recommends using washaway hem tape for the sleeve and curved bottom hem but not for the neckline. I'd recommend pressing and clipping the neckline to get it consistent and easier to topstitch.

This fabric is a colorful and fun DBP I purchased on clearance from Mily Mae Fabrics. It's now sold out but I've linked other brushed polyester blends that are still available. I love the pops of color that is has.

Both the Girls and Women's Clementine patterns are on sale through June 26th, 2019 at 9pm PST for $8 and $9.60 respectively. The Women's Clementine is free for those with the Annelaine membership. If you sign up for the membership program, add the Women's Clementine pattern to your cart at checkout and it will automatically apply the price reduction.
